<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the components of a system comprising an inverter before they break or fail by performing required replacement or compensation. <P>SOLUTION: Operating time after an operation command of a motor 5 is turned on by an inverter 3 before an object 34 on a conveyor 33 being driven through the motor 5 is detected by means of a sensor 35 located at a specified position is measured, and compared with a prestored threshold value.
