<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suppressing noises leaking to the outside of an apparatus from a plurality of fan motors without need for a change in the performance of the fan motor, and to provide its control method. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device equipped with the plurality of fan motors comprises a plurality of detection means for detecting a phase switching period of the fan motor and inputting detection information of the phase switching period into a control means, a storage means for previously storing the time for shifting the phase switching period, and a control means for individually controlling driving of the fan motor so as to shift the phase switching periods of the plurality of fan motors respectively on the basis of the time for shifting the phase switching period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
