<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relate frequency information contained in broadcast signals before redistributing to redistribution frequencies of signals to be actually transmitted over a cable and manage them at the receiver side in a common-antenna receiving system. <P>SOLUTION: Satellite receiving channel information 810 are described in random order on a network information table (NIT). The frequency layout in a re-distribution apparatus of a common-antenna receiving system is preset to be in the frequency ascending order for each network. A receiver arranges frequencies 753 of the satellite receiving channel information 810 in the ascending order, and registers them as receiving frequencies 831 in a frequency conversion table 830. The receiver selects a channel according to a wired frequency 822 of a wired channel 821 in a wired frequency table 820 and registers wired frequencies of normally receivable channels as converted frequencies 832 of the frequency conversion table 830. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
