PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain novel compounds as conventional organic coloring matters, organic fluorescent coloring matters or such organic fluorescent coloring matters that can form clathrates of various organic guest molecules to cause great changes in solid optical physical properties (color tone and fluorescence) of the coloring matters to function such as organic fluorescent coloring matters and suitable for various uses. SOLUTION: The subject heteropolycyclic compounds have particular structures each containing 1,2-naphthoquinone skeleton.
