PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a machine for drawing trawling net, solving problem that, in drawing the difference between right and left tension of the drawing ropes for trawling net becomes large and keeping the opening shape of the trawling net in a stable shape is not easy. SOLUTION: The machine keeps the opening of the trawling net 1 in a predetermined opening state with unwound ropes of a predetermined length 3L, 3R by trawl winches 4L, 4R that independently control unwinding/keeping and winding of the right and left rope 3L, 3R, draws the trawling net 1 in a state keeping either one of the right and left ropes 3R in the predetermined length and the other rope 3L in a released state, measures the tensions of the drawing right and left ropes 3L, 3R and controls the tension of the released side 3L becoming close to that of the keeping side tension 3R by unwinding/winding the rope 3L on the released side of the trawling winch 4L, thus the opening shape of the trawling net 1 is stably kept by controlling only the one side rope 3L.
