LINEAR COMPRESSOR FOR PREVENTING PISTON FROM DIRECTLY COLLIDING WITH INTAKE VALVE

PURPOSE: A linear compressor is provided to prevent a piston from directly colliding with an intake valve disposed at the upside of a cylinder head with an anti-collision unit formed at the lower side of a piston if the amplitude of the piston is increased instantaneously by the sudden change of voltage or the abnormal condition of a refrigerating cycle and collided with the cylinder head. CONSTITUTION: A linear compressor is composed of a cylinder block(31) having a compression chamber(33); a piston(32) installed to reciprocate in the compression chamber; a linear motor for reciprocating the piston; a cylinder head(36) having an intake port(37b) for moving refrigerant into the compression chamber; and an intake valve(37c) for opening and closing the intake port. The piston has an anti-collision unit(32b) at the surface facing the intake valve to prevent the collision between the piston and the intake valve. The anti-collision unit is recessed inward the piston and is a stopper extending to the intake valve at the predetermined length.
