<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which a degradation in readability of characters is improved that arises in converting colored characters into monochrome ones and is induced by an intermediate treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing section 19 is provided with a an analogous video processing section 21 for converting video signals into digital ones, a shading correcting section 22 for correcting shading of the signals, an image data processing section 23 for processing various types of image data, and a binarizing section 24 for binarizing the data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
