<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin the watch as a whole, and to prevent damage of a display panel even when an impact is applied thereto. <P>SOLUTION: A panel fixing part 6 is formed on the upper face side of a wrist watch case 1, and a glass mounting part 7 is formed on the upper side thereof, and a display panel 8 is fixed on the panel fixing part 6, and a watch glass 9 is mounted on the glass mounting part 7 on the upper side thereof. Consequently, the whole watch can be thinned. A frame-shaped buffer member 11 is arranged on the the upper face periphery of the display panel 8, and a frame-shaped metal plate 12 is arranged on the upper face of the buffer member 11, and the watch glass 9 is fixed on the glass mounting part 7 in this state to thereby fix the metal plate 12 and the buffer member 11. Consequently, the buffer member 11 as a whole can be covered with the metal plate 12 and pressed down, and thereby even if an impact is applied from the outside, the impact can be prevented from being concentrated onto a part of the buffer member 11 by the metal plate 12, and since the impact can be thereby absorbed by the buffer member 11 as a whole, a damage of the display panel 8 caused by the impact can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
