<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the growth of carried noble metal particles at a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The noble metal is carried on oxide powder having a characteristic of showing a water immersion pH value of 7 or lower when suspended in pure water, using a noble metal salt aqueous solution showing a pH value lower than the water immersion pH value. According to the above process, no coarse noble metal powder is produced in the aqueous solution as a result of the neutralization of the noble metal salt, and the bonding strength between the oxide powder and the noble metal salt is increased, thus the affinity between the noble metal powder produced by the decomposition of the noble metal salt and the oxide powder is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
