PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna unit with which uniform directivity and a stable gain are obtained over a wide angle and a shield effect is also provided. SOLUTION: The antenna unit is provided with a radiator 15 composed of a conductor substrate 13 and a planar antenna element 12 grounded on the conductor substrate 13, and a reflector 17 having a reflection plane 16 facing a radiation plane 18 of the antenna element 12, and a separating distance d between the radiation plane 18 and the reflection plane 16 is set shorter than or equal to 1/8 wavelength.
