PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed telephone set capable of photographing an image and making communication by using a home telephone line. SOLUTION: The fixed telephone set wherein a facsimile function section 5 for making image communication through a telephone line or a function section for transmitting an image as an attached file of electronic mail is provided to a telephone set main body 1, is provided with a camera having image transmission function for transmitting a photographed image to the facsimile function section 5 as a separate body from the telephone set main body 1. The camera having image transmission function is preferably fitted to a slave unit 2. The image such as a document, a book or a person captured by using the camera function of the slave unit 2 having the camera is cordlessly transmitted to the telephone set main body 1, and the image is transmitted to an opposite party as a facsimile image or an attached file of electronic mail through the telephone set by the facsimile function section.
