PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner capable of reading an image even if trouble disabling a film to be conveyed occurs in one of a plurality of conveyance lanes by conveying the film through another conveyance lane without lowering operation efficiency. SOLUTION: The image scanner is equipped with a conveyance part constituted by forming the plurality of conveyance lanes conveying films in a longitudinal direction at specified intervals in an orthogonal direction to the film conveyance direction, an imaging part which reads frame images of a film conveyed through one conveyance lane, and a take-up part which takes up the film on the downstream side of the conveyance lane so that the conveyance lanes can be switched to convey films whose frame images are read by the imaging part; while the conveyance part is fixed, the imaging part is provided movably crossing the conveyance direction of films and a plurality of take-up parts are provided to cope with the plurality of conveyance lanes.
