PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertically placeable disk player whose chucking accuracy has been improved. SOLUTION: The disk player includes: a tray which holds a disk vertically and is installed so that the disk can be inserted in or removed from an opening for charging of the cabinet; a turntable to turn the disk in the cabinet; a mechanical chassis to which a spindle motor to turn the turntable is fixed; a clamp member which presses the disk placed on the turntable from the opposite side of the turntable; and a chucking plate to support the clamp member. The chucking plate is fixed to the mechanical chassis, and a guide member is provided on the chucking plate and guides the disk housed in the cabinet to a chucking position.
