PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerating apparatus for the molding sand which does not require equipment like a separate dryer for drying by blowing hot air into a casing for regenerating the molding sand by polishing, in which the reduction of the equipment costs can be realized, and at the same time, the equipment can be miniaturized, and which does not require a large space for installing the equipment. SOLUTION: The regenerating apparatus for the molding sand is provided with the casing 1, a throwing-in port 2 through which the molding sand to be regenerated is thrown into the casing 1, a taking-out port 3 from which the regenerated molding sand is taken out, a polishing means 4 to be internally mounted in the casing 1 and for polishing a resin or the like of the molding sand, and a dust collecting port 6 connected to a dust collecting device 5 and for sucking polishing powder of the polished resin or the like. It regenerates the molding sand thrown in from the throwing-in port 2 by a batch type operation. A hot air introducing port 7 for introducing the hot air into the casing 1 is provided in the regenerating device for the molding sand, and at the same time, a hot air generator 8 for generating the hot air is connected to the hot air introducing port 7.
