PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculation method which is applicable to various aqueous organic suspensions, exhibits excellent flocculation/dehydration performance when sludge, particularly, of high sludge concentration or of high fiber content is dehydrated and exhibits excellent performance when the yield of sludge is improved. SOLUTION: This flocculation method comprises a step to add macromolecular flocculants (A) and (B) to an organic matter-containing aqueous suspension so that the ratio of the cationic monomer units to the anionic monomer units in both flocculants satisfies expression (1): 1.8≤Caall/Anall≤100 (wherein Caall is the molar number of the whole cationic monomer unit quantity and Anall is the molar number of the whole anionic monomer unit quantity when the total amount of the whole cationic monomer unit quantity and the whole anionic monomer unit quantity is converted into 100 moles).
