PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing and separating treatment apparatus in which an increase in an amount of stagnation of crushed pieces in a crusher can be prevented and temperature rise in the crusher can be prevented while the conveying condition of the crushed pieces in the crusher is detected. SOLUTION: A crushing system equipped with the crusher 1 for crushing refrigerators or waste industrial products including the refrigerators and a conveyor 22 for conveying the crushed pieces crushed by the crusher 1 is provided with an ultrasonic level gage 25 in the outlet of the crusher 1 or above the conveyor 22 to continuously and automatically detect the level of the crushed pieces on the conveyor 22. When the level is abnormal, a charging conveyor 10 is automatically stopped to prevent the increase in the amount of stagnation of the crushed pieces in the crusher 1. Also, the temperature rise of the metallic crushed pieces by the increase in the amount of stagnation in the crusher 1 is prevented and fire in the crusher 1 is prevented.
