<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SIM reader/writer mounted with a contact and non-contact dual interface SIM, and equipped with a liquid crystal display . <P>SOLUTION: This SIM reader/writer 1 with a liquid crystal display is provided with a connector for USB, and attachably/detachably mounted with an SIM 2 equipped with a contact interface specified by ISO7816-2 and ISO7816-3 and a non-contact interface specified by ISO14443. This SIM reader/writer is provided with at least (1) an IC for control, (2) USB/ISO7816 transformation IC, (3) antenna coil 11 for non-contact communication and (4) liquid crystal display 4.
