PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vertically move a cartridge holder smoothly with respect to a floating base. SOLUTION: This disk drive is constituted so that a disk cartridge is arranged on the floating base 21 while keeping it to be housed in the holder 7 as it is, by turning the holder 7 with respect to a holder arm 1 in reproducing the disk cartridge and turning the holder arm 1 with respect to the floating base 21.
