PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack detection device capable of improving detection reliability of a crack compared with hitherto. SOLUTION: This crack detection device 110 is provided with the first image information extraction means 123 for extracting information of an image having prescribed roughness and including a crack image from image information based on brightness of the image information of an object having a crack generated thereon, a brightness smoothing means 125 for generating smoothed image information acquired by smoothing the brightness of the image information, the second image information extraction means 127 for extracting image information including a crack image which is rougher than the image extracted by the first image information extraction means 123, from the smoothed image information based on the brightness of the smoothed image information, and a crack detection means 129 for detecting duplicated image information in the image information extracted by the first image information extraction means 123 and the second image information extraction means 127, as image information of the crack.
