PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stepping motor from developing an out of step malfunction, ensure the highly precise control of printing pressure and the consequent maintenance of a uniform picture quality, in a stencil process printing device wherein the printing pressure is adjusted by the stretching of a printing pressure spring by the rotation of the stepping motor. SOLUTION: In this stencil process printing device, the rotation of the stepping motor 24 is transmitted to a gear 30 through a plurality of gears and an arm 34 fixed to the rotary shaft 30a of the gear 30 rotates. Consequently, a spring 35 expands/contracts and the printing pressure is adjusted by the pivoting of a press roller supporting frame 22 which pivots at a shaft 21 as a fulcrum. After the end of a printing operation, the stepping motor 24 rotates up to a position not susceptible of the shrinking effect of the spring 35 and then the excitation of the stepping motor 24 is switched OFF.
