PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point switching device for allowing a moving body coming from the reverse direction of an unintended track among branched tracks to pass without requiring the point switching operation. SOLUTION: A point switching device 4 is mounted at a branching point of a track 3 for a moving body 1 to move. The point switching device 4 comprises a point 8 movable between a first position P1 and a second position P2, a first coil 33a for generating an induced magnetic field for driving the point to the first position, a second coil 33b for generating an induced magnetic field for driving the point to the second position, and an excitation control means 40 for feeding intermittent exciting currents to the first coil or to the second coil selectively.
