<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive solid electrolyte membrane having high conductivity even at high temperature, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell wherein the solid electrolyte membrane is disposed between an anode and a cathode, and a separator is disposed the outsides of the anode and the cathode. <P>SOLUTION: This solid electrolyte membrane, wherein a zeolite content is ≥65 wt% and ≤99 wt%, and the amount of moisture adsorbed on the membrane is ≥10 mmol/g and ≤20 mmol/g, is formed by mixing the zeolite with an organic polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
