<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent which further surely prevents a thrombus from occurring and which eliminates the problem of the deviation of a stent body from a coating layer. <P>SOLUTION: The stent comprises a radially enlargeable tubular stent body and a flexible polymer layer coating this stent body. The polymer layer is brought into close contact with the entire outer surface of the stent body to coat the stent body. Since the flexible polymer layer is brought into contact with not only the outer peripheral surface of the stent body but also the entire outer surface to coat the stent body, problems, such as occurrence of a metal allergy, a cell stimulation by a metal, a rust do not exist. Further, since the inner peripheral surface of the stent is a smooth surface coated with the polymer layer, the occurrence of the thrombus can be suppressed sufficiently. There is no problem of the positional deviation of the stent body from the polymer layer at a stent enlarging time.
