<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip device which is small in size, easy to carry, optimum to transportation of equipment, and positively prevented from being unlocked due to erroneous operation during the transportation, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the grip device. <P>SOLUTION: The grip device is comprised of a grip (upward rotatable grip 102a) which is rotatable from equipment main body to the horizontal position, and has a fitting groove 301 formed in an upper surface in the horizontal position and a horizontally movable unlocking section 304 arranged therein; and a locking member 203 arranged above the grip in a vertically movable manner. Then the grip is rotated to the horizontal position to be exposed outside the equipment, and the locking member 203 is moved downward toward the upper surface of the grip assuming the horizontal position until the locking member 203 is fitted into the fitting groove 301, to thereby inhibit rotation of the grip. On the other hand, the unlocking section 304 is horizontally moved toward the locking member 203 side which is then pressed upward to release the fitting into the fitting groove 301, to thereby make the grip rotatable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
