<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external hood device of a railway rolling stock for improving safety, designability and noise. <P>SOLUTION: This external hood device 1 is provided between ends of the railway rolling stock. The device is provided with a fall-off preventive plate 3 arranged between ends of adjacent vehicles 2, a pantagraph-shaped center holding mechanism 4 operated according to movement of the vehicle to arrange the fall-off preventive plate 3 at a center part between the ends, an energizing means 11 for energizing the fall-off preventive plate 3 to the inside of a vehicle width direction, and a stopper 12 for preventing more than fixed pulling-in of the fall-off preventive plate 3. The center holding mechanism 4 pushes the fall-off preventive plate 3 to the outside in the vehicle width direction against energizing force of the energizing means 11 to enable approaching of the ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
