PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lens having minute convex lenses formed on both sides of a substrate. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the lens wherein a pattern having areas of large wettability and areas of small wettability arranged regularly is used and convex parts are formed in the areas of large wettability, a photo-catalytically active oxide layer is formed on the surface of the substrate and a compound layer having a water-repellent group to be decomposed by photocatalysis is formed thereon, or a layer containing a photo-catalytically active oxide and a compound having the water-repellent group to be decomposed by the photocatalysis is formed on the surface of the substrate, by irradiation of light through a photomask.
