PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-pack aqueous coating composition for road surface marking which has good storage stability and manifests, after applied, good drying properties and water resistance. SOLUTION: The quick-drying aqueous coating composition for road surface marking comprises 100 pts.wt., in terms of solid content, of an aqueous dispersion of a binder particle, and incorporated therewith, 5-70 pts.wt. of an aqueous dispersion of a hollow polymer particle containing an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic volatile substance therein.
