PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an excellent hair cosmetic capable of repairing damaged hair, imparting natural luster to the hair and also not causing stickiness. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains (A) a compound having carboxy group and phenolic hydroxy group in its molecule, (B) a cationic surfactant, (C) a nonionic surfactant and (D) an ionic antibacterial agent and a disinfectant.
