PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further automate a process for applying a protective layer forming material on the outer surface of a vehicle and to appropriately apply the material with a roller adhered to the outer surface of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A roller mechanism part 34 is installed as an end effector in the tip part of a robot and set up so that a roller 48 receives force elastically from a pneumatic cylinder 52 to be movable perpendicularly to the axis.
