The citrate salt of 5, 8, 14-triazatetracyclo [10.3.1.02,11.04,9]-hexadeca-2(11),3,5,7,9-pentaene, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are described. The application is also directed to the various forms of the citrate salt, particularly its hydrate and its anhydrous/nearly anhydrous polymorph. The aforementioned compound is described as being useful in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and the like. It is also described as being used in medicaments for the treatment of many other disorders including trauma, AIDS and Tourette's syndrome.
