<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device capable of dispersing an image forming processing to document data by storing a printing parameter and the document data to be image-formed from an image forming apparatus connected through a network, and providing the printing parameter and the document data to this image forming apparatus and one or more other image forming apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: This data storage device comprises a storage means for storing, according to a storage request for requesting storage of an image forming parameter and object data to be image-formed, the image forming parameter and the object data; and a providing means for providing the image forming parameter and the object data in response to an acquisition request for requesting acquisition of the image forming parameter and the object data, which is transmitted from a plurality of image forming apparatuses, while entirely or partially locking the object data designated by the acquisition request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
