<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detecting device for predicting generation of failure in a direct-acting rolling guide unit, improving maintenance performance for a user to the direct-acting rolling guide unit, achieving long service life of it, and improving quality of devices manufactured using the straight rolling guide unit. <P>SOLUTION: This state detecting device detects a current action state in the direct-acting rolling guide unit. It is provided with an AE sensor 1 to detect elastically generated wave motion at least caused by rolling of each of a plurality of balls contained in the direct-acting rolling guide unit and collision of the balls to each other, and generate an electric detection signal corresponding to the detected wave motion, a waveform regulating part 2, an A/D converter 3, and a signal processing part 4 to determine contents of the action state based on the generated detection signal Sse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
