PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert monochrome image data into color image data printable in coloring which a user likes, in printing the monochrome data in a specified image output device without color deflection. SOLUTION: The image processor sets a coloring adjustment value for adjusting a monochrome signal to the coloring which the user desires in a coloring adjustment value setting part 1405 and, on the basis of the set coloring adjustment value and a profile of the image output device acquired by a profile acquisition part 1406, generates a coloring conversion table stored in a coloring conversion table holding part 1408 and a chromaticity line table stored in a chromaticity line table holding part 1409. The image processor further converts a luminance signal L* corresponding to an input monochrome signal GL into a distance signal (l) on the chromaticity line in a coloring conversion A part 1402, converts the distance signal (l) into chromaticity signals a* and b* in a coloring conversion B part 1403, and converts the luminance signal L* and the chromaticity signals a* and b* into color signals of the image output device at an output profile conversion part 1404.
