PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic flashing apparatus whose quantity of light in overrun is small. SOLUTION: The electronic flashing apparatus comprises a flash tube, a power supply section, a switching element for switching between the power supply section and the flash tube; and a boost circuit for boosting voltage at both the ends of the flash tube by a change in voltage generated at one end side of a boost capacitor by deviating by the amount of charge voltage in the boost capacitor; and a trigger circuit for applying light emission trigger to the flash tube by generating a trigger voltage by the continuity of the switching element. Additionally, the electronic flashing apparatus has a path for allowing a reset current to flow to a trigger capacitor and the boost capacitor in a route different from the flash tube. In the path of the reset current, a reset circuit is provided. The reset circuit conducts electricity according to a change in voltage accompanied with the nonconduction of the switching element.
