PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke easy for trial production easy to adjust, and capable of changing the shape of lines of magnetic force on the deflection yoke side without changing the thickness of its coils. SOLUTION: A die for a horizontal deflection coil has a slant part 20 on its base part, and another slant part is provided in the lower part 10 of its upper die 7 so as to form a shape wherein the neck side bent part 9 of the horizontal deflection coil 1 is slanted toward the electron gun side of a CRT from 90°angle made to its tube axis. The lines of magnetic force of the upper coil is decomposed to a horizontal component and a vertical component, and the lines of magnetic force of the lower coil is decomposed to a horizontal component and a vertical component. Although the horizontal component of the lines of magnetic force of the upper coil and the horizontal component of the line of magnetic force of the lower coil are offset each other, the vertical component of the line of magnetic force of the upper coil and the vertical component of magnetic force of the upper coil are not offset since they have the same directions, and the vertical component contributes to deflection of an electron beam to strengthen force applied to a blue beam and a red beam.
