PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a meteorological prediction at a so-called pinpoint is difficult in the acquisition of meteorological data by the unit of large area, in which the actual meteorological phenomenon is completely different in many cases when it is apart from at a slight distance, although a conventional weather forecast for a wide area is performed using a meteorological satellite or the Automated Meteorological Data Acquisition System. SOLUTION: A local meteorological information acquisition apparatus acquires the meteorological information from the surrounding environment of its own, and transmits it to a server as well as its own positional information. The meteorological information server device are provided, which statistically processes the transmitted information and provides it to a user. Accordingly, the meteorological information of extremely narrow area is summed up so that the information required by the user can be immediately provided. Further, the obtained local meteorological information is highly utilized for permitting the prediction of the traffic jam or the prediction of sales of goods, by providing the obtained local meteorological information not only to a general user but also to a transportation facilities or a store.
