PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely reduce noise during a pumping action that becomes significant in a conventional air pump, to reduce vibration, to miniaturize and compact an air pump, and to improve handling property, mountability, and maintainability. SOLUTION: Air introduced from air inflow pipe 9a is guided into an air passage 8 equipped with an orifice 21, an orifice 23, a filter 24, a swelling chamber 14 and the like to reduce its noise. Air in a first air passage 8a of the air passage 8 is dispersed from a second air passage 8b, comes into pump heads 4 mounted to cases 2 on both sides, joins from the cases 2 on both sides to a third air passage 8c side via umbrella valves 45 and 46 and is introduced, and is delivered from a fourth air passage 8d having a structure substantially the same as that of the first air passage 8a.
