ABRASION-RESISTANT MEMBER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion-resistant member which is excellent in abrasion resistance and toughness, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The abrasion-resistant member is manufactured through metallic bonding of a steel-based material 2 to an abrasion-resistant material 3. The abrasion-resistant material 3 is yielded through liquid-phase sintering of a mixture of a high-speed steel material powder and a carbon-tungsten compound powder in an oxygen-free atmosphere at a temperature equal to or below the solidus of the steel-based material and within the solid-liquid coexistence region of the high speed steel material.
