Pass band evaluation process for telecommunication network e.g. Internet, involves calculating pass band based on number of data packets in selected groups and total duration of transmission of packets

The process involves identifying and sorting data packets received from a connection point with similar identifications. An integer m of data packet groups is selected and time intervals separating the reception instants of the packets in the group are measured at another connection point. A pass band is calculated based on the number of packets in the selected groups and the total duration f the transmission of the packets. An independent claim is also included for a device of evaluation of pass band between two points exchanging data packets in a telecommunication network e.g. Internet.
