PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory frequency versus axis ratio characteristics regardless of a frequency band to be handled, to sufficiently secure each tip interval of opposite corrugates, and to prevent a discharge phenomenon in a corrugated circular polarizer. SOLUTION: The circular polarizer has a rectangular shape where a section in parallel with the axial direction in the pipe is continuous, and comprises a corrugated square waveguide 1. In the corrugated square waveguide 1, the corrugates 2 are arranged in an axial direction oppositely. The corrugates 2 are formed in a shape, where an envelope at each axis-side tip of the rectangular shape forms a crest shape with the center in the axial direction (Z) as a vertex. The corrugate 2 is arranged so that the envelope at the base of the corrugate 2 in the section becomes a projecting, nonlinear line at a pipe wall side (O side). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
