PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of an after image and power consumption while realizing high sensitivity at the time of monochrome imaging. SOLUTION: A switching mechanism 15 selectively switches the position of an infrared cut-off filter 13 and the position of optical glass 14, and the position where incident light to a CCD 12 passes through the infrared cut-off filter 13 and the position where the incident light passes through the optical glass 14 at the CCD 12 which has sensitivity to near-infrared light and visible light and is mounted with a color filter for causing the near-infrared light pass through. In the case of controlling the brightness of a LED 24 when the infrared cut-off filter 13 is located at a position where the incident light passes through, the brightness of the LED 24 is controlled in accordance with a desired frame of an imaged video signal.
