METHOD FOR ADJUSTING HEIGHT OF CROSSHEAD OF BLOW MOLDING MACHINE AND DEVICE USING THIS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that an operation to give an initial setting height to be changed anew correspondingly to the outer diameter of a parison is troublesome; the adjustment/changing of the initial die height of the crosshead takes much time; a recentering work to prevent the crosshead from tilting to the right/left requires skill, hence the necessity to let a person with a special skill perform the work. SOLUTION: The device for adjusting the height of a crosshead of a blow molding machine has a fulcrum 18 for supporting a swing table 13 against a base 16 in a freely tilting manner and a tilting means 50 for setting the swing table 13 to a specified tilting position by rotating an electric motor 19 to drive and lift the swing table 13. The initial setting height of the crosshead 1 to be given by an interval X between a mold 3 and the crosshead 1 is given by rotating the electric motor 19 forward or backward, then thereby lifting the rear end part of the swing table 13 with the help of the tilting means 50 and letting the swing table 13 take a specified tilting position. After that, the sag in the pendent parison 1A is continuously eliminated by raising the crosshead 1 from the initial setting height and the parison 1A is cut while being supported.
