PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-well plate assembly used for culturing a cell or a tissue in an artificial vessel. SOLUTION: The multi-well plate assembly 10 has a well plate 12 equipped with a plurality of wells 38, wherein each of the wells 38 has a closed bottom part and an opened top part, and a cross section between the closed bottom part and the opened top part is approximately square. An insert plate 14 is placed on the well plate 12 and has a top surface for substantially covering the opened top parts of the wells 38. Insertions are downward protruded from the top surface into the wells, so that each of the insertions is placed in a corner of the well. Access ports 80 are each formed through the insert plate 14 in such a manner as to be positioned at another corner of the well opposite to the insertion.
