A topically applied composition (A) comprises aqueous phase(s) containing water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer(s) (I) selected from triblock polymers B-A-B and/or diblock polymers A-B, where the ionic, water-soluble block A forms at least 50 wt. % of B-A-B or at least 60 wt. % of A-B and the hydrophobic blocks B have glass transition temperature at least 70[deg]C. An independent claim is included for the use of (I) for stabilizing cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions containing aqueous phase(s) and solid particles.
