METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BARRIER RIBS OF AC PDP CAPABLE OF REDUCING RESIDUAL OUTGAS WITHIN THE BARRIER RIBS

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing barrier ribs of AC PDP is provided to reduce residual outgas within the barrier ribs, and prevent the deterioration of phosphors and the lowering of property. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing barrier ribs(20) of AC PDP comprises a first process for processing a metal thin film in a barrier rib shape, a second process for forming a ceramic coating layer(25) on a metal material with a barrier rib shape, and a third process for joining the metal material to a substrate of a plasma display panel. The second process uses PED(Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) method for forming a coating layer by inducing a limited plasma discharge.
