A stretcher for tubular knitwear fabric has two stretcher arms provided with shaped rings, driving wheels and two pairs of inclined wheels in correspondence with the shaped rings. The inclined wheels are respectively mounted on two plates which are adjacent arms and detachably interconnected to each other, arms being disengageable from the plates to facilitate maintenance and cleaning.
