<p>The box comprises at least one sandwich part (1, 1) with a core and at least one sheet bonded together to form a U or trough-shaped product, and at least one end and/or corner piece (10, 11). A packaging comprises one or more sandwich parts and one or more end pieces and/or corner pieces provided with one or more click- fit connections, hinge connections and/or locking mechanisms. The sandwich parts comprise an optionally pre-formed core material such as EPP, EPS, EPE, polyurethane (PU) foam or similar materials and/or combinations thereof and one or more sheets such as a film and/or woven fabric with specific material properties, e.g. scratch resistance, moisture repellency, UV resistance, heat reflectance, electromagnetic shielding, electrical conductance and/or combinations thereof. The core and sheets are bonded together using a mould to form a U or trough-shaped product. An independent claim is also included for a method for making a packaging by introducing a given amount of plastic and glass fibre into a press (3) and then pressing to form a thin-wall middle piece for a box.</p> |
