FIELD: television engineering; applied television systems of long-distance infrared range. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method makes it possible to produce space telescope whose large mirror diameter equals tens of meters at small mass of source materials directly on orbit. To this end segments are connected into carrier ring, then brackets, small mirror, correcting lens, and television unit are installed. After that pressure is controlled in space formed by film sheets attached to carrier ring. ^ EFFECT: reduced mass of telescope which facilitates its delivery to orbit. ^ 3 cl, 2 dwg
