FIELD: immobilization of gaseous radioactive wastes. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed confining safety system has nuclear reactor containment, filter mounted in the latter, pipes running to inlet of steam-gas mixture filter, and pipe provided with throttling and shutoff devices and used for outlet of decontaminated steam-gas mixture to vent stack. Filter is provided with additional layers of filter elements arranged within its casing along steam-gas mixture flow upstream of fiber filter elements. Filter elements of three first additional layers which are first along steam-gas mixture flow are made of neutral discrete material.
