FIELD: sugar industry, in particular, purifying of sugar-containing solution with the use of lime and saturation gas containing carbon dioxide. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hot defecation unit and saturator equipped with cylindrical casing, said defecation unit and saturator being arranged in cascade and connected with one another via overflow pipeline. Device for catching of used saturation gas is arranged in saturator casing in space above liquid and is composed of cylindrical hood and conical cover attached to hood arranged in spaced relation with respect to casing wall. Conical plate disposed under cover lower edge and attached to casing wall is designed for discharge of solution into its lower part. Saturator is furnished with jet pump for preliminary saturation of defecated solution with used saturation gas. Said pump is positioned outside saturator casing and connected to overflow pipeline and to saturator hood. Outlet portion of branch pipe of jet pump, which is adapted for discharge of preliminarily saturated solution, is positioned above hood. ^ EFFECT: increased extent of utilization of carbon dioxide of saturation gas, improved adsorption purification of sugar-containing solution, improved filtering and sedimentation properties of saturation sediment, reduced carrying-away of water and heat loss from saturator into atmosphere together with water vapors. ^ 1 dwg |
